2025 Phyllis Unger Case Series (PUCS) Meeting

Date: November 6th, 2025. Doors open at 5:30pm, programming starts at 6:30pm. Times are subject to change pending itinerary finalization but the meeting should be concluded by 8:30pm.

Location: Elmhurst Hospital (155 E. Brush Rd, Elmhurst, IL)

Please join us for this year’s Phyllis Unger Case Studies Meeting. This educational meeting brings members of the blood banking and transfusion medicine community from across Illinois to share and discuss interesting cases. To submit an abstract, please consider the following required criteria:

• Must be blood banking related; this includes topics in immunohematology, clinical transfusion medicine, laboratory quality, and others. 

• Abstracts should feature a case vignette and should include the following sections: Background, Case Presentation, Conclusion.

Submissions will be due by October 23rd, 2025. To submit an abstract, email us directly at ilabbinfo@gmail.com. If accepted, a powerpoint presentation will be required (no longer than 15 minutes). Due to technical and logistical limitations, presentations will only be given in-person.
